 I am running as an independent candidate for State’s Attorney.  We must get politics out of public safety.  Judges take an oath to be fair and impartial therefore they do not affiliate themselves with any political party.  State’s Attorney’s take that same oath.  If they are committed to being impartial, they should also not run on a party platform.  The Board of Elections requires that independent candidates get signatures to get on the ballot. The Board of Elections requires an original signature so please mail in the petition to Friends of Roya Hanna, 217 North Charles St, 2nd Floor, Baltimore MD 21201.
